Terms of Use

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, downloading the app, using a
Meghavani device, or listening to a Meghavani broadcast, you agree to these Terms.
1.Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and V-ROBOTICS
(“V-ROBOTICS”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the
Meghavani mobile application, the Meghavani website, Meghavani devices, and all related services
(together, “Meghavani” or the “Service”). If you do not agree to
these Terms, do not use the Service.
2.Who we are
Meghavani (मेघवाणी — “voice from the cloud”) is a product of V-ROBOTICS, Software Technology Park,
NIDA, Kanjikode, Palakkad 678621, Kerala, India. Meghavani lets a person start a live, one-way
voice broadcast that rings and plays for all of their followers at once, and can also play through
Meghavani devices such as the Meghavani IP Speaker and compatible V-ROBOTICS products.
3.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account
or purchase a plan or device. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the Service only with the
involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you confirm that you meet
these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
4.Your account
- You register with an email address (verified by a one-time code) or with Google Sign-In, and
choose a unique username.
- You are responsible for keeping your login and device secure and for all activity under your
account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
- One person or organisation per account, unless we agree otherwise in writing. You may not
impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
- You may delete your account at any time from the app; some information may be retained as
described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.
5.The service
When you start a broadcast, every follower who has chosen to follow you receives it live; missed
broadcasts may be recorded for later replay, and a public web link lets anyone with the link listen.
Following is one-directional — only people who follow you receive your broadcasts, and you only
receive broadcasts from people you follow.
Delivery of a broadcast depends on the internet, mobile networks, devices and third-party
infrastructure, none of which we control. We do not guarantee that any broadcast will reach any
particular person, ring any particular device, or be delivered without delay or interruption.
6.Broadcasts are not private
A broadcast is heard live by all of your followers and by anyone with your public listen link, and
may be recorded. Treat every broadcast as public. Do not broadcast confidential,
personal, financial or sensitive information, or anything you are not entitled to share publicly.
7.Recordings and replay
Broadcasts may be recorded and stored on our servers so followers can replay them. Recordings and
profile photos are served as files and may be accessible by their web address. You can make a past
broadcast private, or delete its audio, from within the app. We may delete recordings or limit
retention at any time, and do not guarantee that any recording will be preserved.
8.Acceptable use
You agree not to use Meghavani to do, or help anyone do, any of the following:
- Break any law, or infringe anyone’s rights, including copyright, trademark or privacy rights —
for example, broadcasting music, recordings or other content you do not have the right to share.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence or hatred against any person or group.
- Send spam, scams, or misleading, fraudulent or deceptive content.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or falsely suggest an endorsement or affiliation.
- Share sexual content involving minors, or any content that is obscene or unlawful.
- Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its signalling,
streaming or servers, or another user’s account or device.
- Circumvent plan limits, usage metering, or any technical or security measure.
- Publish another person’s private information, or broadcast to people who have not chosen to
follow you.
We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that we reasonably believe violate these
Terms.
9.Your content and the licence you grant us
You keep ownership of the voice broadcasts, recordings, profile details and other content you
create (“Your Content”). You are solely responsible for Your Content and confirm
that you have all rights needed to share it.
To operate the Service, you grant V-ROBOTICS a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to
host, store, transmit, record, reproduce, and distribute Your Content — including streaming it live
to your followers, playing it on Meghavani devices, recording it for replay, and making it available
through your public listen link — for as long as you keep it on the Service and for a reasonable
period afterwards for backups and legal compliance. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted,
except where it has been shared with others or must be retained by law.
10.Meghavani devices
Meghavani devices — including the Meghavani IP Speaker and compatible V-ROBOTICS products such as
the Automatic Bell (RoboticBell) and Vedavaani — connect to the Service to play the broadcasts of
the voices you choose to follow. Meghavani devices are playback-only and do not contain a microphone
to record you.
Purchase of a device is subject to the price, warranty, delivery and return terms provided at the
time of sale. A device needs a working internet connection (Wi-Fi or LAN) and a compatible account
to function, and some features may require an active plan. We may provide software updates to
devices to keep them working and secure.
11.Plans, payments and renewals
- Meghavani offers a free tier with usage limits and paid plans with higher or unlimited limits.
Plan features and prices are shown in the app or on our website and are in Indian Rupees (₹).
Prices may include or exclude applicable taxes (such as GST) as indicated at checkout.
- Paid plans are billed in advance and, where you set up auto-renewal (for example via UPI
AutoPay or a payment provider), renew automatically for successive periods until cancelled.
- You can cancel renewal at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid
period, and you keep access until then.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change plan prices or features
on reasonable notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
- If a payment fails or a plan lapses, your account may return to the free tier and its limits.
12.Third-party services
Meghavani relies on third-party services — including audio streaming and messaging infrastructure,
Google Sign-In, and payment providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms,
and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
13.Intellectual property
The Meghavani and V-ROBOTICS names, logos, software, designs and content (other than Your Content)
are owned by V-ROBOTICS or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited,
personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and Service as intended by these
Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or create derivative works from the
Service except as permitted by law.
14.Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you
consent to that handling. If a Privacy Policy link is not yet available on this site, contact us
using the details below for the current version.
15.Availability and disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis,
without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that
broadcasts will always be delivered or recorded, or that devices will always connect. You use the
Service at your own risk.
16.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, V-ROBOTICS and its team will not be liable for any indirect,
incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, profits,
or missed communications, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. To the extent
liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited
to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the
claim.
17.Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold V-ROBOTICS harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs
(including legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these
Terms or of any law or third-party right.
18.Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, remove content, or disable a device
connection if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or the law, or to protect the
Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Terms
that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licences already granted, payment
obligations, disclaimers, liability limits and indemnities) will survive.
19.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the
“Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by other means. Your continued
use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
20.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under applicable
consumer law, you agree that the courts at Palakkad, Kerala, India will have exclusive
jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service.
