Privacy Policy

1.Introduction

Meghavani (“we”, “us”) is a product of V-ROBOTICS, Software Technology Park, NIDA, Kanjikode, Palakkad 678621, Kerala, India. This Privacy Policy applies to the Meghavani app, website, and Meghavani devices (together, the “Service”).

2.Information we collect

Account information — your name, email address, unique username, and optionally a profile photo, a short bio and a contact phone number that you choose to add.
Sign-in information — a securely hashed password (if you set one), or a Google Sign-In identifier if you continue with Google, and one-time verification codes sent to your email.
Your network and activity — who you follow and who follows you, and a log of your broadcasts (start time, duration, optional title, and average and peak listener counts).
Broadcast audio — the live voice you broadcast, which may be recorded and stored so followers can replay it.
Live comments — comments typed during a live broadcast are delivered in real time and are not stored after the broadcast ends.
Technical information — basic connection information needed to deliver live audio and call signals (such as network address and a connection identifier derived from your account).
Payment information — if you buy a plan or device, our payment provider processes your payment. We receive confirmation and limited transaction details, but we do not store your full card or bank credentials.

3.How we use information

To run the Service — ring your followers, stream and record broadcasts, show listener counts, and play broadcasts on Meghavani devices.
To create and secure your account, verify your email, and prevent misuse and fraud.
To process plans, payments and renewals, and provide support.
To maintain, troubleshoot and improve the Service.
To comply with law and enforce our Terms.

4.Broadcasts, recordings and public links

Meghavani is a broadcasting service, so some information is public by design. Your name, username, photo and bio are shown to other users. A broadcast is heard live by all of your followers, and by anyone who has your public listen link. Recordings of broadcasts and profile photos are stored as files and may be accessible by their web address. Please treat every broadcast as public and do not share sensitive information. You can make a past broadcast private, or delete its audio, from within the app.

5.When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

With other users, as part of how the Service works (your profile, and your broadcasts to your followers and via your public link).
With service providers who help us operate — including email delivery, audio streaming and messaging infrastructure, Google Sign-In, and our payment provider — who may process information on our behalf.
For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of users, the public, or V-ROBOTICS.
In a business transfer, if V-ROBOTICS is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6.Payments

Payments for plans and devices are handled by a third-party payment provider. Your card, bank or UPI credentials are provided directly to that provider and are subject to its privacy policy. For auto-renewing plans, we store a reference to your mandate so we can process renewals, and we can stop it when you cancel.

7.Meghavani devices

Meghavani devices (such as the Meghavani IP Speaker) connect to the Service to play the broadcasts of the voices you choose to follow. They are playback-only and contain no microphone — they do not listen to or record your surroundings. A device processes only the information needed to connect and to play the broadcasts you have chosen.

8.Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Verification codes are short-lived. Recordings are kept so followers can replay them, until you delete them or we remove them under our retention practices. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we must retain it for legal, security or accounting reasons.

9.Security

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and token-based authentication. No system is perfectly secure. Also note that, by design, recordings and profile photos are accessible by their web address, so do not use broadcasts for anything private.

10.Your choices and rights

Access and update your profile information in the app.
Control your broadcasts — make a past broadcast private, or delete its audio.
Delete your account and associated personal information from the app.
Contact us to exercise any rights you have under applicable law, including access or deletion.

11.Children

Meghavani is not directed to children under 13. Users between 13 and 18 should use it only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information without consent, contact us and we will remove it.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
